“Hooks so huge you could use them to raise the Titanic” – The Times

“A dream version of how modern pop should be” – The Guardian

“(The) self-titled full-length debut sports sub-zero cyber melodies, but much like her frosty foremother Annie Lennox, La Roux injects a healthy dose of emotional turmoil into her songwriting.” – Out Magazine

“Her current single, Quicksand (Kitsune), clones the froideur of Jackson’s favourite decade with love and skill, and makes for nagging pop with emotional substance. Clearly, La Roux has greater ambitions than just getting poseurs to dance.” – The Independent
