Titus Andronicus is an indie rock band from Glen Rock, New Jersey formed in 2005. The group takes its name from the Shakespeare play Titus Andronicus. Their debut album, The Airing of Grievances, received an 8.5 rating from Pitchfork Media and has received positive reviews elsewhere.

The band’s loud, heavily distorted guitars, bawling, thrashing sound reflect a wide range of influences ranging from the Pixies to Bright Eyes to Bruce Springsteen. The lyrics and song titles are references to various books and other forms of entertainment.  The Airing of Grievances is from the Seinfeld episode, “The Strike”, about Festivus.
